Who should attend Week 1?

Week 1 is designed for insurance professionals with less than two years of experience in the wholesale insurance industry. This week is appropriate for new employees, recent college graduates, underwriters with single-line experince who want to learn beyond their current experience, or employees in a technical role seeking to move into an underwriting role in the future.

Where will classes be held?

Classes will be held at Georgia State University's Buckhead Center, across the street (walking distance) from the Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta-Buckhead.

What is included in my registration cost?

  • Breakfast and lunch Monday-Friday
  • Networking opportunities at the Welcome Reception and UFO Reception
  • Classroom supplies
  • Electronic access to instruction materials (laptops are strongly recommended)
  • Daily parking at Georgia State University Buckhead Center for local attendees

Should I bring anything for class?

Laptops are strongly recommended. Electronic access to the instruction materials will be provided two weeks prior to the event. This is a "paperless" meeting, and printed materials will not be provided. Classroom materials (pens, notebooks, etc.) will be provided onsite.

Will I need to rent a car?

A rental car is not required for your visit to Atlanta. The GSU Buckhead Center is directly across the street (walking distance) from the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants and bars located within walking distance, or an easy taxi or ride-share away.

I want to participate in AAMGA Underwriting Bootcamp, Week 2. Do I have to take Week 1?

Each week is designed to be a self-contained learning experience. Participation in Week 1 is not a prerequisite to Week 2. However, individuals who complete Week 1 will find Week 2 to be an excellent complement to the Week 1 training.
