Operations Committee

One of the many assets the Association has is its meetings. Members and industry business partners appreciate the world-class venues and professionally managed meetings in a relaxed atmosphere conducive to combining the fostering of business and personal relationships, with having access to world and industry leaders. The Association’s yearly meetings include the:

• Annual Meeting: May
• Committee Day & Business Planning Sessions: June
• Under Forty Organization Annual Meeting: September
• Mid Year Insurance and Legislative Roundtable Meeting: November
• Insurance Automation & Agency Management Conference: February

In addition, the AAMGA University conducts over 40 continuing education and professional development classes annually.

The Operations Committee works with the AAMGA staff to coordinate venues, speakers, receptions, programs and the Insurance Master Calendar, which contains the dates and information on a variety of meetings of interest to industry, markets and others in the insurance profession.

Operations 2011-2012 Goals and Objectives

1. Recommend possible dues increases for members and branch offices.
2. Maintain the master calendar and promote its usage by our industry.
3. Work with Headquarters to develop surveys for our membership and provide review and feedback once the surveys are received.
4. Help with event promotion of flyers, emails, calls, etc. for attendance of various events.
5. Work with the Board of Directors, Committees, and Headquarters as requested on special projects.
6. Help maintain the “standard operating procedures” (SOP’s) and keep them updated.
7. Explore possible joint operations with other associations.
8. Review definition of Lifetime and Honorary members to determine any conflicts.
9. Update the AAMGA “history” book and complete the project by year-end (1,000 books/electronic).
